The sixth annual San Francisco Electronic Music Festival took place from Thursday, August 18th to Sunday, August 21st, 2005 at SomArts Cultural Center in San Francisco. SFEMF Six’s featured visiting composers were: renowned trombonist/improviser and electronic music composer George Lewis, electronics pioneer Morton Subotnick, and pioneer of the electric harp Zeena Parkins, all from New York; and Mark Trayle, who came up from Los Angeles to perform with fellow members of the acclaimed network ensemble the Hub. The 2005 local artists were: voice and electronics duo Chaos Butterfly, composer/soundscape architect gal* in_dog (aka Guillermo Galindo), prepared Fender Rhodes artist Eric Glick Rieman, sound installation artist Matt Heckert, concert harp and electronics composer Victoria Jordanova, laptop and video artist Bevin Kelley, gesture controller and laptop artist Patrice Scanlon, and Sutekh.
