MSHR

MSHR is the art collective of Brenna Murphy and Birch Cooper. The duo collaboratively build and explore systems composed of sound, light and sculpture. They view their practice as a constantly morphing cybernetic entity with its outputs routed into its inputs. The outputs primarily take the form of installations and performances that integrate digital sculpture and analog circuitry. MSHR’s name is a modular acronym, designed to hold varied meanings over time. MSHR emerged from the art collective Oregon Painting Society in 2011 in Portland, Oregon.
