Thomas Carnacki is a variably-sized organism that has been trundling forward for over two decades and has included numerous luminaries over the years. The incarnation for SFEMF consists of Gregory Hagan, Cheryl E. Leonard, and Gregory Scharpen. Carnacki’s output tends towards the textural, the unsettling, occasional flights of whimsy and the absurd, and (aspirationally) subtle nuance. Said output has found its way into multiple theatrical productions and experimental short films: an internationally-toured production by Margaret Jenkins Dance Company, the Whitney Biennial, and performance venues on both coasts. Over a dozen physical releases exist at present.
